Vintage Spode Bird Collection

Long before the saying “Put a bird on it” became popular, we had birds sections at both Watson Kennedy shops. I am crazy for birds! So when we were hunting & gathering vintage goods on our last Hudson Valley stay, I spotted an entire collection of this extraordinary Spode dinnerware. A gentleman had collected it for ages and was selling the entire lots. You can tell the years of love and usage as the birds are patina’d more on the older pieces. Which made me love it all even more…
