Breakfast As Lunch

Breakfast served as lunch is a personal favorite. Often I will have one friend over for a meal mid-day to catch up and enjoy time with just them. Spouses are at work. Kids are in school. Nice just to chat away and check in with an old friend and find out what is happening in their world. Making a frittata or a Croque Madame is easy to prep before they arrive. Roasted new potatoes and a simple green salad and it is a one plate filling meal we can savor as we chat, chat, chat. Even though it is mid-day, I still light lots of candles as the flicker adds a festiveness to the visit.
