A Late Summer Weeknight Supper

I love these few weeks after Labor Day where it is still officially Summer yet you can feel a cool in the air. We take every opportunity during these last few days of the season to entertain as much as possible. In town, weeknights become our ‘have friends over for supper’ time of the week as we are out on the island during the weekends. Dahlias from the Pike Place Market make for a simple arrangement and herbs from Forest Garden Farm flank the flowers. Lots of votive candles flicker away as we enjoy the meal and catch up with friends.
